Bill Grono Memorial Trophy:
Up to 1996, this was awarded to the highest ranked junior representative
referee. In mid 1997, it was felt by the membership that a better memory
of Bill Grono was to recognise members who furthered the game of Rugby
League and duel winners were declared in 1997 to reflect the old and
new awards. In 1998, the new award was bestowed in its own right.
